Art: Cup Detail from Artemisia
Your characters need to transport a deadly poison. How do they protect themselves while they do this? Do they need to use a special technology? Hazmat suits? Spells? Or perhaps some of your characters are naturally impervious to the poison? Write your ideas for how to transport this dangerous concoction in 200 words.Image credit: Wikimedia Commons, Detail of Artemisia, Public Domain

I have been chosen to carry the Gilden. An honor! A joy! My children will tell their children about this moment--how their mother, dressed in abundant red, held the glowing rock lovingly cupped in her blackening hands and laid it at the stone hem of our Goddess' own red robe. I do this now--how quickly my hair slides from my head and leaves me shorn! Quickly I recite the prayer, just as my eyes lose sight. My last thought should be of you, Goddess, but instead I imagine my little Juna, just now walking, hearing my story, wondering what color my eyes were.
Wow, Amy, this is a great response. Far more than just a prompt response, this is its own flash fiction or micro-fiction story. The repetition of color, red, and the word 'eyes' is very effective. Poetic.
